This next Challenger story is one that has been 30 years in the making. I hope you all enjoy this next story by Dave Lawrence and his dream that took 30 years to become a reality...
This is a story written by Dave Lawrence
In the early 1980s I chased a Hemi Orange 1970 Challenger T/A. For years I tried to purchase it, but it never happened. I had other rare Mopars throughout the years including a 440-6 Superbird and my 1970 Cuda 440 (highly optioned). So in 2013 I decided to purchase a modern Challenger. I knew what I wanted, in fact I bought the T/A hood before I found the car. I found a 2009 R/T Inferno Red Pearl stripe delete plain looking but that color. 3 days after purchasing the car with 14 thousand miles on it I tore it apart. I had Jon Bond Performance rebuild a Techco Twin Screw Supercharger. I polished the intake tube the drive snout and front cover and had the runners powder coated candy apple red pearl. I purchased a Saleen Hi Downforce rear spoiler and painted it, the T/A hood and front fascia satin black. The reproduction T/A stripes in my opinion didn't match the new body style so I had custom stripes made with custom fender call outs that say Blown Hemi. So 30 years in the making I introduce to you my modern T/A Challenger
