2010 Challenger SRT8 Limited Edition

It is with great pleasure to bring you the very first Challenger of the Day post from our "What's Your Challenger Story" submissions. Please enjoy this Challenger story and the journey that Paul went through to get his 2010 Challenger SRT8 Limited Edition.

This is a story written by Paul M.

PART 1 - As you can tell by my email address (ss66chevelle@...com) I have not always been a Mopar guy. Through an inheritance, in 1997 when I was 23 years old I was able to buy a 1966 Chevelle Super Sport. The Chevelle was a numbers matching, unrestored survivor car. At 23 years old I felt like I was on top of the world! Then, in 2008 when I first saw the retro Challenger everything changed. While walking through the car show I was at I very excitedly told my wife that I loved that car and would one day own one. Fast forward seven years...

I finally got up the courage and told my wife that I wanted to sell my Chevelle and buy a Challenger. She told me absolutely not and said that I was CRAZY!! Finally, after a few months of persuasion she agreed saying that I could do what I wanted to do... That's all I needed to hear.

MB White Toyman DS

This Matchbox Dodge Challenger White Toyman is a blast from the past. The base has 1975 on it and I think the 'standard' yellow Toyman was released in the eighties. This rare white version was a mystery to me for a long time and I often see it referred to as 'The elusive rare white Toyman'. That said there are much rarer versions of this awesome casting. It was released in 1992 as part of s 30 pack set available to Sam's Club members only. I have heard it was a giveaway but also that it was sold in the store. If you got one of these in '92 as a member please let me know!

With oversized rear tires and a straight & serious stance it is ready to set the pace. Center Line, Cragar, Crane Cams, Holley, Valvoline and others have clearly staked their claim on this Challenger. With a red interior, black textured roof, and even windshield wipers and rear view mirror details this overblown racer does not disappoint!

I must talk about the side pipes more. The detail and the base color stand out for me as the finest feature. Because the side pipes are attached to the metal base they too are metal and they add weight, authenticity and AWESOMENESS! Side pipes are just an old school touch that never should have gone out of style!

Step Inside This M2 Ground Pounders 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T

This M2 Ground Pounders 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T is full of really cool features. Starting with real rubber tires on deep-dish rims, a painted base with silver and black detailed exhaust tips, silver painted door handles, fuel filler cap, turn signals with red & orange details front & back and window trim too! A detailed engine with a healthy amount of chrome under the heavy metal hood and the graphics are really sweet too! With full length body side stripes, Challenger & R/T logos, 383 Magnum and DODGE lettering on the hood. So Awesome!!

Two screws required to hold it into the base should give you an idea of the weight of this car. I don't normally go around smashing my die cast Challengers into one another. In fact I never even considered it before. Maybe some of my other die cast cars - but that's another story. If I were to smash my die cast Challengers into one another though I would definitely put my money on this one. It's just such a Heavyweight!

Imagine pulling up next to this - and all you can see when you look over is the tinted dark windows. One look at all that rubber on the rear, the power bulge hood, and all that gleaming chrome coming off the bumpers and, well you can see its pretty menacing too!
